DESCRIPTION:Leadership plays a pivotal role at MCKK\, as reflected in the school’s slogan\, ‘Kecemerlangan\, Kesejahteraan\, Kepimpinan’ (Excellence\, Well-being\, Leadership). On 22nd April 2024\, a significant event was held to pass on hopes and responsibilities to the leadership bodies that will guide the school throughout the year. \nThe event was attended by the school administration\, teachers\, and students. It began with a speech by a student\, Mr. Ahmad Fahim\, who reminded students to respect the teachers who have sacrificed their time and effort to help them succeed. This was followed by a speech from the Senior Assistant of Student’s Affair\,Mr. Fidzamil bin Basaruddin\, who delivered his speech and message to all students in leadership positions. \nThe leadership bodies presented were Kesatuan Pelajar Kolej Melayu (11)\, Badan Nahdhah Islamiah (6)\, Pengawas Pusat Sumber (8)\, Pemimbing Rakan Sebaya (7)\, Cyberbrigade (6)\, and the House Captains (4). The ceremony began with photos of these leaders on stage with the excellent principal of The Malay College Kuala Kangsar\, Mr Mohd Shahadan bin Abd Rahman\, followed by the pledge from the appointed leaders.  \nAll the selected students stood on stage\, raised their hands with open palms\, and recited the pledge. It was a powerful and emotional moment. The atmosphere fell silent\, as the weight of responsibilities\, hopes\, and expectations they carried on their shoulders became palpable. The ikrar was led by Muhammad Haziq bin Khairuddin\, president of KPKM.

DESCRIPTION:Retirement Ceremony of Cikgu Shahriman \nOn 16th May\, our school hosted a memorable event in conjunction with Teacher’s Day\, which also celebrated the retirement of our esteemed educator\, Cikgu Shahriman. The celebration was a grand spectacle\, with attendees dressed in traditional Malay Sultanate costumes\, creating a vibrant and culturally rich atmosphere. \nThe ceremony began with moving speeches that paid tribute to Cikgu Shahriman’s impressive teaching career. Having dedicated 9 years of his life to teaching at Shah Pekan and 24 years at MCKK\, Cikgu Shahriman has left an indelible mark on countless students. Colleagues\, students\, and administrators spoke of his unwavering commitment\, inspiring lessons\, and the positive impact he had on the school community. Cikgu Shahriman also took the stage to express his gratitude and share fond memories of his time as an educator. \nThe event continued with a variety of performances. Cikgu Shahriman\, known for his passion for music\, delivered an emotional singing performance\, joined by a few teachers and students who showcased their talents in tribute to him. The highlight of the entertainment was a performance by the renowned artist Hazama Azmi\, who thrilled the audience with his captivating voice. \nThe day concluded with a heartfelt send-off ceremony\, where the school community came together to honor Cikgu Shahriman’s retirement. As he embarks on a new chapter\, his legacy of dedication\, wisdom\, and kindness will continue to inspire both students and staff alike.

Ultimately\, it was the Sekolah Sukan Tunku Mahkota Ismail (SSTMI) team that emerged victorious\, securing the championship title with a commanding 36-5 win against ARAS in the final match. \nThe MCKK Premier 7s continues to uphold its reputation as one of the leading rugby tournaments in the region\, fostering sportsmanship and excellence in the sport. Congratulations to all the participating teams for their dedication and outstanding performances throughout the tournament. We look forward to even more exciting competition in the years to come!

Despite the loss\, the MCKK All Blacks demonstrated skill and resilience\, gaining valuable experience for future competitions. This match highlighted the competitive spirit of school rugby and the potential for the All Blacks moving forward.

On match day\, excitement filled the air as students\, parents\, teachers\, and alumni gathered to watch. Both teams played fiercely\, with MC All Blacks gaining an early lead\, though Vajiravudh College quickly caught up. In the second half\, MC All Blacks pulled ahead again\, winning 20-15. Despite the rain and muddy field\, the celebration was full of joy as the team performed their haka and received their medals. The day ended with cheers and emotional moments\, especially for the sole Form 5 player\, Ryan Akasyah\, who was lifted in celebration.
