The Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) made its mark on the international stage at the World Youth STEM Invention Innovation 2025, jointly organized by the Malaysia Young Scientist Organisation (MYSO) and Universitas Negeri Medan. The prestigious competition, held from 23 to 27 February 2025 at Sinabung Hills Resort, Berastagi, Indonesia, is officially recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records. It brought together 280 innovation projects from nine countries, including Italy, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Romania, Nepal, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This international platform aims to empower STEM education, promote best teaching and learning practices, and enhance strategic organizational management.

MCKK proudly showcased its innovative excellence through three remarkable projects, securing multiple awards: Gold Medals, The Most Creative Poster Award, the Best Entrepreneur Award, and a place in the Top 5 Best Innovation (Secondary Level) for their projects. One of the projects, Jack-Noodles: Nutrient-Dense Noodles from Jackfruit Seeds, won a Gold Medal, demonstrating creativity and scientific ingenuity. Additionally, the CHITO-AC 2.0 project, which focuses on dual-functional wastewater treatment and plant growth improvement, also achieved a Gold Medal, further solidifying MCKK’s reputation for excellence in STEM innovation.

These outstanding achievements are a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students, teachers, and consultants who played a pivotal role in guiding and refining these innovations. Their success reflects MCKK’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and scientific advancement.

Congratulations to all participants – Team VermiGuard, Jack-Noodles, and CHITO-AC! –  for bringing glory to Koleq on the world stage!
